Ovulation disorders are some of the most common causes of infertility in women. Usual indications include abnormalities of menstruation (amenorrhea, oligomenorrhea), but rarely anovulation can be found in normal menstrual cycles. Most women have a regular cycle during their reproductive years, but in some their cycle lenght can vary. Anovulation (lack of ovulation) can be common during the first and last menstrual cycles of a woman's life, and it can be caused by sudden weight changes (both gain and loss), or high stress levels.
