The infertility of a couple may be due to the woman, to the man, or both of them. In 40% of cases it is due to a female factor, 40% there is a male factor and 20% of  infertility is unexplained. Of course, infertility is a combination of both male and female factors, and for this reason couples should consider it as a common problem and deal with together.
