George Lainas, MD, PhD, Scientific Director of IVF unit "Eugonia" gave a satellite lecture at the 10th Panhellenic Conference on Ultrasound in Obstetrics held in Heraklion, Crete (27-29 September 2024).

George Lainas, Scientific Director of IVF "Eugonia" received an honorary invitation from the Turkish society for Fertility Preservation for the annual conference in Istanbul.
A very important distinction was made by Eugonia Assisted Reproduction Unit for the proposal submitted to the SME Instruments of the HORIZON 2020 program in Phase 1 regarding the use of AI in the evaluation of embryos, further strengthening its presence in the Hellenic Medical Area as well as Internationally.
This suggestion has been refined in all assessment categories in one of the most demanding programs where less than 5% of participants manage to distinguish themselves.
HORIZON 2020's "SME Instruments" is the largest European Research and Innovation Program available, with available funding amounting to € 80 billion, for the seven-year period 2014-2020.
Dr. George Lainas, gynecologist at Eugonia, will be the coordinator of ESHRE and specifically of the Special Interest Group "Reproductive Endocrinology" for the next two years (2019-2021).

The first twins born by a paraplegic man were conceived in our center using sperm taken by electroejaculation.
Eugonia is the first Greek IVF Clinic certified for ISO EN 15224:2012 in the field of health, regarding patient’s safety, treatment effectiveness and quality system improvement.
One of our chief gynecologist G.Lainas was elected as coordinator of European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE).
His election took place in the business meeting of Special Interest Group, Reproductive Endocrinology (SIG RE) of ESHRE, during the annual meeting. The conference took place in Barcelona in July of 2018 with 12.500 registrations from all over the world.
Dr. G.Lainas has an active part in ESHRE, as he is a member in two guidance groups: a) GDG on Ovarian Stimulation in IVF/ICSI and b) ART Clinical Performance Indicators.
