When the ovarian stimulation process is complete and the doctor judges that there is a sufficient number of follicles that have reached the desired size, the last injection (hCG) that induces final maturation of the oocytes is administered. The injections stop after this and the woman's egg collection is scheduled 34-36 hours later.
