The ESHRE (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology) workshop, which took place from 31 October to 2 November 2024 at the Divani Palace Hotel in Athens, was successfully concluded.
The workshop with the title “The Endometrium in Assisted Reproduction: Truths and Myths about the Enigmatic Embryo Implantation”, aimed to train participants in reproductive medicine and to inform them about the latest scientific advancements related to the endometrium and its significance in the success of in vitro fertilisation (IVF).
Throughout the three-day workshop, topics such as the improvement of the laboratory environment and the optimization of frozen embryo transfer were explored. This educational initiative served as a valuable source of knowledge and experience sharing among doctors and scientists in reproductive medicine, fertility-focused endocrinologists, gynaecologists, and embryologists from across Europe, while promoting specialized understanding of the challenges and opportunities in assisted reproduction.
Dr. George Lainas, Clinical Gynaecologist and Scientific Director of Eugonia, played an active role in organizing the event, as a member of both the scientific and organizational committees. His two insightful lectures made a meaningful impact on the workshop's success, further reinforcing Greece’s reputation as a hub of innovation and scientific research in reproductive medicine.
